An Enhanced Login Experience
Your account security is our top priority, so we added a login security update to the browser-based access of CPCUi (online banking). Our 2-Factor Authentication will use your username & password as one factor and will then use an additional method for confirming your identity. This extra layer of security will make it harder for hackers to gain access to your finances.
Your 2nd factor options to choose from will be to receive a verification code via text to your cell phone # on file with us, a code sent to your email on file or to answer a security question. Be sure to check that your account information is up-to-date so you are able to receive the codes.
What is 2-Factor Authentication?
This 2-step login feature is an additional layer of identity verification while logging in to a website or application. While your username and password is the primary way of securing your account, this second factor provides a higher level of security to the authentication process, making it harder for someone to hack your account. When using 2-Factor Authentication, knowing the victims password alone would not be enough to access their account.
Some second factors of authentication can include sending a verification code through a text message to your cell phone or sending a code to your email.
