Checking Accounts

CPCU offers 3 types of personal checking accounts. Choose the one that best meets your needs; from the traditional dividend earning account to an all electronic fee-free account. Setting up direct deposit is easy. For an extra layer of protection, be sure to check out our Overdraft Protection Coverage and be sure to view our Overdraft Coverage Policy.

Students have special checking needs. Monthly maintenance fees are waived for current students. For students 14–18 years old, an adult is required on the account. Talk to us about setting protective stand-in and overdraft limits on student accounts.

Consumers Professional Credit Union has partnered with one of the nation’s most trusted names in Identity Theft protection to bring you the Gold Standard in comprehensive Fully Managed Identity Fraud Research, Remediation and Recovery Services available today. Members of Consumers Professional Credit Union who own a Traditional Checking Account or a Capital Cash Account automatically have the Fully Managed Recovery benefit.

If you suspect Identity Theft for ANY reason, you will be assigned a Recovery Advocate who will work on your behalf to recover your good name — no matter how long it takes. All types of identity fraud are covered, whether related to your financial accounts or not. Qualified family members are covered as well – three generations.

Consumers Professional Credit Union also offers you the option to upgrade your program by purchasing a package of services at your own option. Select from three Identity Theft Protection packages starting at $2.95 per month.

Remote Control

Download our app and you can control your card(s) where ever you go! Think you lost your card? That’s a scary feeling we can relate to, so we wanted to make it easy for you. Now, you can quickly log into the app and temporarily freeze your card so you don’t have to worry about someone finding your card before you can find it yourself! If you find your card you can just unfreeze it right then and there! If you know you definitely lost your card or that someone stole it you can also cancel your card and order a new one right through our app.

Online Bill Pay

CPCU offers a convenient, secure online bill pay service with Live Phone Support between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. You will never need to buy a stamp or envelope again! Once you are a CPCUi user with a checking account simply complete the online process to begin using online bill pay.
