Our Savings Options

Statement Savings or Prime Share Accounts

Every member of CPCU maintains a Prime Share Account with a par value of $25.00. This is your share of credit union ownership and entitles you to a vote at the annual meeting. The minimum balance required to earn dividends is $100.00.

Diamond Money Fund

By opening a Diamond Money Account, members are able to keep their funds liquid yet earn an Annual Percentage Yield (APY) that is typically higher than the Prime Share Account. The Diamond Fund has a minimum balance of $5,000 with a second tier APY for balances above $15,000. Talk to any of our Member Service Representatives to open a Diamond Money Fund today.

Savings and Christmas Club Accounts

You can customize the name of a savings club account to help energize your savings!

Customize your savings club account to help you stay on track! “Vacation”, “Tuition”, “New Car”… You name it, you save it!!!
Christmas always comes sooner than we think! We offer a Christmas Club that accepts deposits from the first Monday in November through October 31st. CPCU adds your dividends and in early November, moves the money into your Prime Share Account so that the shopping may begin!

Health Savings Accounts

If you have a high-deductable health insurance plan, you may be eligible to open a CPCU Health Savings Account. An HSA allows you to set aside pretax dollars to pay for medical expenses such as prescriptions, co-pays, and over-the-counter medications.
How it works:
First, check your policy to make sure you are allowed to utilize an HSA.
Next, open your CPCU Health Savings Account. There is no minimum balance requirements to open an HSA with us, however, you must be a member with a minimum of a savings account. Not a member yet? All you need to open an account is meet our eligibility requirements and $25 for your share of the Credit Union.
Last, we can help set it up with your employer to direct deposit a certain percentage of pretax dollars from your pay into your HSA account. Done!
