HSAs

If you have a high-deductible health insurance plan, you may be eligible to open a CPCU Health Savings Account. An HSA allows you to set aside pretax dollars to pay for medical expenses such as prescriptions, co-pays, and over-the-counter medications.

How it Works

  1. First, check your employer’s policy to make sure you are allowed to utilize an HSA.
  2. Next, open your CPCU Health Savings Account. There are no minimum balance requirements to open an HSA with us, however, you must be a member with a savings account. Not a member yet? All you need to open an account is meet our eligibility requirements and $25 for your share of the Credit Union.
  3. Last, we can help set it up with your employer to direct deposit a certain percentage of pretax dollars from your pay into your HSA account. Done!
