
Frequently Asked Questions: SCECU merge with CPCU
Once all the data from SCECU has securely transferred to CPCU’s system and been verified you will be able to log-in to CPCU’s online banking – CPCUi. Please check the Merger Update Tab on SCECU’s website on Saturday July 1st for the notification that the data has been verified and you may log-in.
Please check your mail for the envelope we sent earlier this month. It included your new account number and an instruction sheet for your first-time logging into CPCUi. Go to the Log-in tab in the upper left hand corner of our home page. Enter your User Name and Temporary Password. You will be prompted to create a new password. You will then choose an image and answer 3 security questions. On your next log-in you will see the image and will be asked 1 of the security questions.
You may also download the CPCUi Mobile App from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store. Look for the CPCU blue and white logo.
If you did not receive the mailing or did not keep it we will be happy to assist you if you call us on Monday July 3rd at 989-793-9188.
We will officially become CPCU on July 1st, 2023.
SCECU will close at 3:00 on Friday June 30th to complete our month end and quarter end processing. Once that is completed we will begin the process of merging our member information into the CPCU system. The process will continue over the weekend of June 30th to July 2nd 2023.
Please be prepared for the following:
- SCECU will close at 3:00P.M. on Friday June 30th
- SCECU Online Banking and Mobile APP, It’s Me 24/7, will not be available
- Debit and Credit Cards will not work – please prepare for your cash needs ahead of the weekend
- All members will receive a mailed, paper statement for June 2023
Yes! All SCECU employees will be stay on and become CPCU employees.
DEBIT/ATM Card FAQ’s
In order to securely move the SCECU cards to the CPCU processing system the processing system will be interrupted. The cards will not work while the data is being transferred. Once the data is moved and verified the cards will work again.
Yes! Your SCECU debit card will work once the merge is complete. When your SCECU card expires or if it is compromised you will be issued a new CPCU card. Your PIN will stay the same.
Yes! Your SCECU ATM card will work once the merge is complete. When your SCECU card expires or if it is compromised you will be issued a new CPCU card. Your PIN will stay the same.
Paper Checks & Direct Deposit
Yes! You may continue to use your SCECU paper checks until it is time to reorder.
Yes! If you have existing direct deposits to your SCECU account they will transfer to your updated CPCU account. If you have recurring payments set-up they will continue.
